A Perfect Day at Wente: Bringing Magic to the Vines

Nestled among the rolling vineyards of Livermore Valley, Wente Vineyards served as the backdrop for one of our favorite creative collaborations to date. From the moment we arrived, we were inspired not just by the beauty of the surroundings, but by the venue’s ability to shape-shift for so many different types of events. There’s a grounded elegance here that immediately invites vision — whether you’re planning an intimate wedding ceremony, a full-scale corporate celebration, or a wine-soaked welcome party under the stars.

Wente offers a rare and refreshing mix of versatility and soul. Between the lush Lawn, the moody, romantic Wine Caves, and the dynamic Event Center, the property gives event hosts the flexibility to create multi-layered experiences — from golden hour cocktails to dramatic after-dinner moments. It’s a dream setting for weddings, retreats, corporate events, brand events, and milestone gatherings alike — all surrounded by the sensory beauty of the vineyard.

A Setting That Speaks for Itself

We let the setting guide our storytelling. The ceremony vignette was staged on the lawn with wood and rattan chairs, white tassel umbrellas, and whimsical neutral florals lining the aisle — a clean, elevated contrast to the lush greenery around it. Guests were greeted with parasols and thoughtful details designed for comfort and style. And while the scene felt effortless, every detail was carefully placed to strike that perfect balance of refined and relaxed.

Our color muse throughout? Moss green. It’s been living rent-free in our creative brain lately — a hue that’s equal parts earthy and elegant, and the perfect anchor to tie together natural textures, wood accents, and layers of creamy whites. From green leather lounge seating to foliage-forward floral touches, moss green gave the entire experience a cohesive tone that was both current and timeless.

We also styled with seasonal fruits and vegetables — including of course, Wente’s iconic grapes — to bring a fresh, tactile element into our tablescapes and vignettes. It added texture and playfulness that felt uniquely rooted in the setting.

Where Style Meets Experience

This was more than a styled setting — it was a full experience. Guests moved through the property as though attending a progressive celebration:

  • The patio welcomed guests with a red carpet photo booth, custom-engraved wine glasses, a live saxophone player, grazing station, and custom wine illustrations.

  • The bar and lounge area featured a full round Walnut bar, a white and oak checkered dance floor, and black rattan chandeliers hanging overhead — setting the scene for a cocktail party that could easily turn into a full-blown dance set.

  • Green leather couches were tucked into the lounge for cozy conversation pockets that felt high-style but highly inviting.

Inside the Event Center, we transitioned to an elegant dinner setting with warm amber light projections, ivory chiffon draping, and layered tabletop details. A beauty bar offered guests a quick touch-up before stepping into the portrait studio, where they could capture the moment with a glass of Wente wine in hand and small bites from their incredible in-house culinary team.

And for a more intimate dinner atmosphere, the Wine Cave was transformed into a candlelit haven — a magical setting that felt exclusive, serene, and completely unforgettable.

A Venue That Can Do It All

What we love most about Wente — beyond the stunning views and culinary excellence — is how adaptable it is. It’s rare to find a venue that can effortlessly carry a ceremony, cocktail hour, lounge, and dance floor, while also offering indoor spaces with dramatic ambiance and true guest comfort. For corporate events, it’s a slam dunk: built-in culinary, AV, flexible indoor/outdoor flow, and room to brand or personalize each moment.

We left the property that day buzzing with ideas — not just from what we created, but from what Wente makes possible.
